About BIT

BIT Lab was reconstructed from Shape Modeling Lab (SML) in Apr. 1, 2008.

SML was established since the startup of the University of Aizu in 1993.

SML had been directed by Prof. Vladimir Savchenko from 1993 to 2000 until his moving to Hosei University.

Prof. Daming Wei headed SML from 2000 and the successive BIT Lab until his retirement in 2011.

Currently, BIT Lab is being led by Prof. Wenxi Chen.

BIT Lab commits to excellence in education and research on biomedical information technology.

BIT Lab encourages students to explore their professional potentials and discover their life passions.

BIT Lab enhances social contribution through casting academic outcomes into shape.

Challenge to improve human health and quality of life in BIT Lab will never stop as long as life on the earth continues.
